GTA 5 not cancelled for PC, says Rockstar

Despite rumors, Grand Theft Auto 5 has not been cancelled for PC. Rockstar Games reaffirmed that the PC version, as well as the Xbox One and PS4 editions, are still on the way, due out in fall 2014.
Responding to fans curious as to the possible cancellation of GTA 5 for PC, a Rockstar Games support rep assured the PC version is still in the works and that the release date "has not changed."
"I'm also looking forward to the PC release, however this release date has not changed," the rep said, directing concerned fans to the official support article regarding release dates for all three versions. As expected, the article still states a fall 2014 release for GTA 5 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
Rumors of the cancellation first spawned last week when Fox Weekly reported on an interview with Rockstar's supposed marketing director. The website claimed that the PC version could be cancelled due to "corporate problem," adding that Rockstar "never wanted" to release a PC version.

GTA V for PC May Be Cancelled

Grand Theft Auto V might not make it to PC after all as according to a certain Brad – Rockstar North employee and founder of marketing firm Rantic – the company is planning to cancel the PC version of the game.
According to Brad, who claims to be a marketing director for Rockstar North, during a recent discussion Rantic Chairman John Hoffberger stated that the PC version of the game could soon be cancelled owing to ‘corporate problems. The interview excerpts popped up on Rantic’s site[currently down because of a hack].
Hoffberger said that the company was never willing to go for a PC version of the game but had to build it anyway to meet with high consumer demand. However, the project will soon be culled.
“The next-gen console launch dates are still intact, but the PC game launch has been agitating for Rockstar staff,” John said.
It seems that Rockstar has apparently delayed the launch of GTA V for PS4, Xbox One and PC till 2015. However, if we are to believe Brad’s claims, then we might never see a PC version
