OnePlus One will receive Android L 'within three months' of final build release

Ever since Android L was introduced at Google I/O last month, the question that’s been on the mind of most Android users is “When will I get a piece of that?” HTC already confirmed that its flagships will get the L update, and today we can add another device to the list of hardware that’ll make the jump.
OnePlus has announced in its official forums that the OnePlus One will indeed be updated to Android L. As for when the update will be released, well, that’s on Google. OnePlus says that it promises to push the update out “within three months” of Google’s release of the final Android L build.
The OnePlus One is a flagship phone that was released fairly recently, so it’s not terribly surprising to learn that it’ll be bumped up to Android L. It’s good to get confirmation of the update plans from OnePlus itself, though, and it’s also nice that the company has given a timeframe in which users can expect the update to be pushed by.
While we wait for Android L and the OnePlus One’s update to arrive, you can check out our video overview of the top five Android L features below. Does the news that the OnePlus One will receive Android L make you want a unit?

OnePlus One Available Without Invitation but at a Higher Price

OnePlus recently announced that its '2014 Flagship Killer', the One, will have limited availability and can only be purchased by those who have received invites.
However, it seems there is good news for those interested in buying the new OnePlus One, with five online retailers based in France, Germany, Italy, and Spain now offering the smartphone without contract.

The only quibble is that the online retailers are offering the OnePlus One at a higher price than the usual starting price of $299 (roughly Rs. 18,300) for the 16GB unlocked and without contract model.
Lenteen has listed the new OnePlus One at EUR 294.99, while is also charging for shipping EUR 19.99 making the total amount for a 16GB unlocked variant to EUR 314.98 (roughly Rs. 25,300).

OppoMart, is offering the same model for EUR 399.99 (roughly Rs. 32,000); SPEmall lists the handset for $397.99 (roughly Rs. 23,600); Topresellerstore is selling the 16GB model for EUR 312 (roughly Rs. 25,000), and Flosmall at $416 (roughly Rs. 24,700). The listings were first reported by GizChina.
In addition, OnePlus shipping might be delayed due to a last minute software update. The company in its invite to consumers has noted the same, as published by Mobilesyrup, "The software recently received a major update but we are still working on perfecting some final issues. For that reason, we can't yet confirm the exact date that the phone will ship."

The OnePlus One was launched in April with the company announcing a Q2 release. The company also revealed that the handset will be initially available in Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, the UK and the US. The OnePlus One will be available in Sandstone Black and Silk White colour variants.
