LG ’ s 6 -inch QHD screen entering mass production in the near future

Aside from the 5.5-inch
QHD screen, LG Display is preparing to offer a
similar 6-inch product, with such panel entering
mass production in the near future.
The Korean company is preparing to showcase the
6-inch QHD display at the upcoming SID expo
taking place in June in San Diego. The panel offers
pixel density of 491 ppi is impressive but lower
than the 5.5-inch panel found in the LG G3 that
tops at 534 ppi.
In addition, visitors of the show will also be able to
see LG’s new TVs with curved OLED QHD screens
that will be available in 55-, 65- and 77-inch
flavors. We at IntoMobile don’t care much about
this part so you’ll have to get details about these
products at some other site.
Anyhow, it’s worth adding that LG is not the first
company to make a 6-inch QHD screen, but that
doesn’t mean it doesn’t stand a chance in this
market; quite the contrary – there’s a booming
demand for phablet displays out there making
room for multiple panel makers…
